Please try this technique when creating your SKETCHNOTES for your Renaissance Research...

STEP 1: Locate a reliable source & cite it on your research doc.

STEP 2: As you are reading the article, copy and paste short excerpts onto your research doc. Don't forget to put them in quotation marks.

STEP 3: Next, read the quotations and highlight key words and concepts.

STEP 4: Starting with the first KEY CONCEPT, do a google image search to seek inspiration and see what  comes up.

STEP 5: Now that you have some inspiration, sketch a VISUAL that connects to the KEY CONCEPT/ BIG IDEA. Experiment with the size of the image and the placement on the page.

STEP 6: You are ready now to go back to your quotation and ADD RELEVANT TEXT to your sketchnote. Be experimental and creative when you integrate your text.

STEP 7: You are ready to move on to the next quotation and repeat the process. Good luck! Have fun!

Remember to consider negative space, containers, typography and other sketchnoting techniques when designing your sketchnote.
